Don’t worry, though, you are not alone, and feeling stuck is a common occurrence in our lives. But if you feel like you have stuck yourself, you better get “moving” then!
The Truth About Being Stuck
Well, the truth is, you are not stuck, you are just spending your time and energy wrongly, and you need to realign yourself again.
It’s how you perceive what is currently taking place in your life; is it parallel to your goal, with your purpose, or does it goes against your grain? Because we are programmed to act in a way that is in line with our interpretation of life. That’s why we get this feeling of being still, unchanging, and sometimes unsuccessful if we feel that our actions, or lack thereof, are leading us NOT to where we aspire.
There’s Just Something Missing
This is where we started feeling stuck. People get the feeling of being stuck when they can’t make things happen the way they want it.
We all come across the feeling of we should be somewhere we are not, whether it be in a career or personal lives, we feel that something is not right, something is not in place, or something is missing.
So what could that be? Sometimes, we don’t even know the answer yet, but we are sure that we need a change to get unstuck.
As a personal stylist, my clients want to change because they are in the middle of a major transformation brought on by disruption at work, or in their personal lives like divorce, a new baby, a desire to live their passions, or other changes.
Whatever your reason is and whether you already figured it out or not, don’t be afraid to take a step forward.
Make the Change You’ve Always Wanted Now!
When you feel that nothing exciting is occurring in your life and you can’t seem to move ahead, that’s exactly when you make that huge leap of faith.
It may shake you up a little bit, but nothing changes when nothing changes, so put yourself first and stand up for yourself; act now!
Take the control back and create that life that you will wake up thrilled to live.
It’s OK to Rebuild your Life from Scratch
That comes along with your experience.
When meeting with a new client, I always start like this, “The first thing we are going to do is talk about where you want to go from here and then look through your closet to see what clothes you already have to take you there.” Because I believe that we all already have the foundational pieces. I will just help you build from there.
Remember that although changing can be a full 360 degrees turn, you still have “YOU” that you can lean on:
You have a wealth of experience to help you land your next amazing gig.
You have skills that you can package to create your products and services.
You have great ideas and creativity to launch your own business.
You have colleagues and clients to serve as references for the incredible work you’ve done.
And, this is not the first time that you have stumbled and fell so you know exactly how to get back up.
Your challenges have helped you develop emotional intelligence.
So if you are feeling stuck, don’t hold back, trust, and free yourself!
Take baby steps if you have to, take time to ponder,
“Who am I?”
“What do I want?”
“Where do I see myself?”
