Being single sometimes gets a bad rep, but the truth is, it’s one of the most wonderful things that can happen to you.
As a single woman in her 40s and beyond, the world is literally your oyster. And while there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be with a partner, the same can be said for singledom.
Here are a few ways you can celebrate amd enjoy your single status:
#1: Remember you are one of many fabulous single women
Society may say one thing but being unmarried or without a partner in your 40s is becoming more common.
There are millions of single women in their growing adult years just like you who are relishing in the benefits of being single. They’re living their most fabulous, happiest, and most fulfilled midlife. After all, the halftime show is always the best part, right? Being single means, you get to celebrate yourself all the time. Remember to do just that by writing down all the things you’ve been able to achieve and accomplish for yourself while being single.
#2: Take yourself out on a date
When you’re single, you get to love on, dote on and date yourself. There’s no need to do anything for anyone else except for yourself. And, when you’re single, you can focus on your self-care and do whatever you want without someone complaining, guilt-tripping you or making you compromise.
It’s the perfect time to truly get to know and love yourself and your needs.
#3: Do something spontaneous
Whether it’s having a more open and spontaneous sex life or booking a random getaway, being single in your 40s offers freedom to do what you want. You can pick up a passion project, a hobby, take yourself out, hang out with your friends or just do something without making any plans. While you can certainly do this with a partner, doing these things while single helps you truly get to know who you are and what you want out of life.
In other words, YOU make the rules.
Relationships are fulfilling, but so is being single. Give yourself some grace and find all the great things you love about being on your own. It’s a fabulous place to be.
